Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Pays Surprise Visit to Islamabad Airport, Reviews Immigration Process for Two Hours
Federal Minister for Interior and Narcotics Control Mohsin Naqvi paid a surprise visit to Islamabad Airport. He reviewed the immigration process at the airport for two hours and also met passengers traveling abroad. He ordered a crackdown against visa agents.
Mohsin Naqvi took serious notice of a passenger’s complaint regarding insufficient staff at immigration on 7 November and ordered an inquiry. He directed his staff to review the entire situation through CCTV footage. Mohsin Naqvi assured the concerned passenger that they would not face such an issue again.

Interior Minister said that no passenger with the required documents should be stopped from traveling. Passengers attempting to travel abroad on fake or unverified documents or through other illegal means bring disrepute to the country, and such a situation cannot be allowed to continue. He highlighted that travel cannot be permitted with unverified documents. The agent mafia, driven by greed for money, is playing with the futures of innocent people and tarnishing the country’s reputation. There will be no leniency for agents who deceive innocent people with promises of jobs and send them abroad illegally.
