Rawalpindi Police have been placed on high alert following directives from City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani, as enhanced security measures are implemented across the city ahead of expected foreign delegations’ movements.

According to police sources, a high-level meeting held at Police Lines Headquarters reviewed the overall security situation and issued instructions to ensure foolproof arrangements throughout the city. Authorities have increased surveillance at key locations, with additional deployment of police personnel, Elite Force units, Dolphin Force, and quick response teams conducting continuous patrols.

Security has been further tightened around sensitive installations, government buildings, and designated accommodation sites. Intelligence-based operations, search and sweep activities, and monitoring through Safe City cameras have also been intensified to prevent any potential threats.

Police have set up multiple checkpoints across major entry and exit routes to strengthen screening and ensure public safety. A special traffic management plan has also been introduced to maintain smooth flow while security operations continue.

CPO Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani stated that all available resources are being utilised to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and to ensure a secure environment in the city.
