A Polish Air Force F-16 fighter jet went down on Thursday evening during a practice session for the upcoming 2025 International Air Show in Radom.
Reports from local media indicate the aircraft struck the runway at approximately 19:30 CET.
Government spokesperson Adam Szłapka confirmed in a statement on X that the pilot lost his life, though no additional details were released.
Following the incident, Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz — after consultations with Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Major General Adam Rzeczkowski — travelled to the site of the crash.
