Rawalpindi: Saudi Relief Container for Flood Victims Unloaded in Gulrez
Eyewitnesses reports that a container carrying Saudi aid intended for flood-affected areas in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is being unloaded in the Rawalpindi locality of Gulrez. The relief materials, marked with the Saudi government emblem and labeled “Aid for Flood Victims,” were seen being taken out of the container.
Sources indicate that the aid was meant to be delivered to flood-hit regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. However, its unloading in Rawalpindi has raised concerns among local residents. Several citizens questioned whether the supplies would reach the intended recipients or be distributed locally or even wasted.
Social groups and eyewitnesses have urged the authorities to conduct a transparent investigation to ensure that the assistance reaches only those flood victims for whom it was specifically intended.
