In a major development for Muslims around the world, Saudi Arabia has officially announced that all foreign nationals holding any valid visa are now permitted to perform Umrah. This includes tourists, transit passengers, workers, and those visiting family or friends in the Kingdom.
According to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the decision aims to make the pilgrimage more accessible and to enhance the spiritual experience for visitors. All visa holders must ensure their visas remain valid during their stay and are required to book Umrah permits through the Nusuk app before entering the holy cities.
Authorities have clarified that while the rule applies year-round, restrictions will still be in place during the Hajj season, when only those with official Hajj permits may perform the pilgrimage.
The new policy reflects Saudi Arabia’s ongoing efforts to promote religious tourism and strengthen its position as a global destination for Muslims seeking spiritual fulfillment.
