H.E. Dr. Badr Ahmed Mohamed Abdelatty, Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, met with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi today. The meeting focused on advancing bilateral relations between the two nations.
During the meeting, both dignitaries reviewed the current state of relations between Egypt and Pakistan, particularly in the areas of defence and security cooperation. Discussions included military-to-military engagements, training programmes, and Pakistan-Egypt coordination on issues related to regional peace and stability.
Both sides reaffirmed their dedication to further strengthening collaboration in defence and other strategic sectors. The meeting underscored mutual interest in enhancing coordination between the two brotherly countries.
Dr. Abdelatty conveyed warm greetings from Egypt’s leadership and expressed Egypt’s continued interest in expanding cooperation with Pakistan across various domains, including diplomacy, defence, and economic partnership.
The officials emphasised the importance of sustained high-level exchanges to address emerging challenges amid an evolving regional security landscape. They stressed that closer cooperation is essential for ensuring long-term stability and joint progress.
The meeting highlighted the enduring relationship between Egypt and Pakistan, reaffirming shared commitment to peace, stability, and comprehensive bilateral cooperation.
