During his official visit to Pakistan, the Foreign Minister of China, H.E. Mr. Wang Yi, held an important meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, in Islamabad.


The discussions covered a wide range of issues, with a particular focus on regional security dynamics, counter-terrorism cooperation, and matters of mutual interest. Both sides reaffirmed their determination to further strengthen the all-weather strategic partnership that has been the cornerstone of Pakistan–China relations for decades.
Mr. Wang Yi emphasized China’s unwavering support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and socio-economic development, underlining Beijing’s commitment to stand by Islamabad in all circumstances. He also highlighted the importance of deepening bilateral cooperation across defense, economic, and regional domains to ensure lasting peace and prosperity.
The COAS, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, expressed gratitude for China’s consistent and valuable support, particularly in the face of regional challenges and global uncertainties. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to working closely with China to safeguard shared interests and promote stability.
The meeting concluded with a shared pledge to expand cooperation at both regional and international forums, with the vision of advancing peace, security, and sustainable development not only for the two nations but for the wider region.
