Fresh off a successful ODI series victory against Australia, South Africa have confirmed their white-ball squads for the upcoming England tour in September, featuring both ODI and T20I fixtures.
The line-ups have been strengthened with the return of several big names. Explosive batter David Miller rejoins the T20I setup for the first time since the Pakistan series on home soil last year. Miller’s last appearance for the Proteas came at the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, where his fighting century in the semi-final against New Zealand stood out despite the team’s defeat.
All-rounder Marco Jansen is also back in the T20I fold, having missed the Australia series, while Kagiso Rabada, who sat out the ongoing ODI games due to an ankle injury, has been cleared and included in both formats for England.
South Africa enter the tour with momentum, having edged Australia 2-1 in the ODIs, though they narrowly lost the T20I leg of that contest. The England series offers the Proteas not only competitive cricket but also crucial preparation ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
