Trump Attacks Britain at UN, Targets Sadiq Khan, Gaza Policy, and Sharia Law

Former U.S. President Donald Trump ignited controversy at the United Nations with a fiery speech that directly attacked Britain’s leadership and policies. Addressing the General Assembly, Trump accused the UK of “weak leadership” and warned that the country had “lost its global voice.”

In a pointed tirade, once again he singled out London’s Mayor Sadiq Khan, calling him “a disgrace” and alleging that under his watch the capital had become unsafe. Trump went further, claiming that parts of London were being “taken over by Sharia law,” remarks that drew gasps in the chamber and immediate criticism from observers.

On foreign policy, Trump condemned Britain’s stance on Gaza, accusing UK leaders of “siding with weakness” and failing to show firm support for Israel. Analysts say the comments risk straining transatlantic relations at a time when London is seeking to reinforce its global partnerships.

The speech showcased Trump’s trademark confrontational style, mixing domestic criticisms with provocative foreign policy positions, ensuring his presence on the UN stage was impossible to ignore
