The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has released its latest report on the devastation caused by monsoon rains across Pakistan.
According to the report, two more people lost their lives in the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll since June 26 to 907, with 1,044 others injured. Punjab has so far reported 233 deaths and 654 injuries, while Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains the worst-hit province with 502 fatalities and 218 injuries.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, 38 people have died and 34 have been injured, whereas Gilgit-Baltistan has recorded 41 deaths and 52 injuries. The heavy rains and flooding have also caused extensive damage to property and infrastructure, with 6,180 livestock perished, 7,848 houses destroyed or damaged, and 239 bridges washed away, severely disrupting transport and connectivity in the affected regions.
