Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, in his address to the National Ulema Mashaikh Conference, highlighted the deep and historical bond between the State of Madinah and the State of Pakistan, noting that this relationship includes a defense pact. He stated that Pakistan holds the honored role of being a Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques.
He warned that when a nation abandons knowledge and the pen, chaos and corruption take root. Respect and power, he emphasised, come through hard work and knowledge, not division.
Field Marshal Munir asserted that terrorism is India’s tactic, not Pakistan’s, and said that Pakistan confronts its enemies openly. He reminded the audience that in an Islamic state, only the state has the authority to declare jihad.
He further stated that success in the battle for truth comes with Allah’s help. Concluding his address, he urged scholars to promote national unity and broaden the people’s perspective.
