Spain booked their place in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final with a composed 2–0 victory over France in Tuesday’s semi-final at Dallas Stadium (AT&T Stadium), Arlington, Texas. European champions Spain produced a disciplined performance to end France’s hopes of reaching a third consecutive World Cup final.
Mikel Oyarzabal opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 22nd minute after Lamine Yamal was fouled inside the area. Pedro Porro doubled Spain’s advantage in the second half with a well-worked finish, leaving France unable to mount a comeback despite the presence of Kylian Mbappé and a talented attacking lineup.
The victory sends Spain into the World Cup final, where they will face the winner of the second semi-final between England and Argentina. France, one of the tournament favourites, exits the competition after being outplayed by a clinical Spanish side.
