General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, NI, NI (M), Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), during his official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, met with General Fayyadh bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Chief of General Staff of the Saudi Armed Forces.
The meeting focused on the evolving regional and global security landscape and explored opportunities to strengthen bilateral defence cooperation. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing the longstanding brotherly ties and defence partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
In recognition of his efforts to promote Pakistan-Saudi Arabia relations, particularly in the military-to-military domain, the CJCSC was awarded the “King Abdulaziz Medal of Honour (Excellent Class).”
The Saudi leadership praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
